Anxiety is a full body experience that often indicates that your nervous system has become overly sensitive to your environment. For many people, this nervous system response has come out of experiences of trauma, whether obvious or more subtle. My approach to treating anxiety is holistic and multifaceted, incorporating body-based coping skills, interventions in thought patterns, and seeking to discover the emotions and beliefs that are contributing to your current reactions. EMDR interventions are used to add coping resources and target negative beliefs or traumas when indicated.
